Yucatan - You Never Had It So Good!

Yum Ixpu is our favorite seafood restaurant in Progreso featuring fresh fish from the fishermen.
This is where the locals eat.  It’s clean with plenty of natural air flow, and reasonably priced.
Yum Ixpu is located on Calle 31, between Calle 94 and Calle 96.  Calle 31 is the street on the north side of the city building.  Head west on Calle 31.  Cross Calle 94 and look for Yum Ixpu upstairs in a building on the north side, Gulf side, of the street. Open every day 11 a.m. to 6 p. m., except Mondays.  Bicycle friendly.
Phone 969 935 1613
Come early to avoid long lines and reward yourself to the very best.
Yum Ixpu is a Mayan fish name, ask about its meaning while you feast.
Yum Ixpu is the former Pulperos Costenos—locals still use the old name.

Hot, fresh, and ready to build into tasty tacos.
The pescado frito entero or whole fish is deep fried to perfection and served with limes, pickled onions, jalapeño peppers, and lots of tortillas. Irresistible and finger-licking good!

Another satisfied customer guaranteed to be a regular. This place is too good to be true …just ask anybody who has been to Yum Ixpu!
